THE 15th MUSIAD INTERNATIONAL FAIR

15th MUSIAD International Fair, High Tech Port by MÜSİAD and the 18th International Business Forum (IBF) Congress will be held under the patronage of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey in the conjunction with the 30th COMCEC Summit on 26-30 November 2014 in Istanbul CNR Expo Center, Turkey. The major events will be honored both by Turkish President and Prime Minister H.E. Ahmet Davutoglu, and host guest ministers.

The premier events are organized by MUSIAD (Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association) which is one of the leading NGOs in Turkey and OIC Member Countries established in 1990 with its 7.500 members representing about 35.000 businesses contributing to %18 of Turkey GDP, 1.5 million people of labor force and it creates its network through 76 branches across Turkey and 155 allied contact points in 60 countries.

We believe that cooperation between businessmen is increasing in importance for the sake of developing mutual economic and trade relations between countries. In this respect, MÜSİAD organizes two major international events. These are the MÜSİAD International Fair, which is the biggest general trade fair in Turkey and IBF Congress, under the motto of "Union of Powers".

The previous sessions of the major events, organized on October 10-14, 2012 in Istanbul, proudly gathered 5.140 international businessmen from 92 countries and 33 ministers from 27 countries along with 150.000 local visitors and 383 domestic and international exhibitors from 18 countries in 45.000 sq.m indoor space spread over 5 halls. The questionnaire results in 2012, with a large number of exhibitors (%79) stated that they were satisfied with the profile and quality of the visitors and %78 of them had concrete business deals, shows the success of the event.

This year, the events will be enriched with remarks of Turkish and guest ministers and inputs of academicians and experts on the main theme of IBF Congress: "Paradigm Shift: Neo-Financial Drifts", country and project presentations, sectoral business matching sessions, regional business forums in different Anatolian cities, high tech CEO forums, traditional handcrafts and arts exhibit, and exhibitors in all sectors at MUSIAD International Fair in 8 halls spread over 100.000 sq.m area besides High Tech Port accommodating new technologies and projects in 4.400 sq.m space. MUSIAD International Fairs promise to give the indispensable means of increasing sales, expanding to the promising markets.

This year, the organizations will call attention to the way of doing business and the alternatives under the motto of "World is Changeable: Change the Business Change the World" and the 18th IBF Congress sessions will focus on "Paradigm Shift: Neo-Financial Drifts" to pinpoint financial issues and find alternative systems.

Under this ambitious and challenging motto; the Fair-Forum event provides a platform that brings heads of states, international political leaders, governors and bureaucrats, heads of chambers and

NGOs, academicians, international and local economy editors, journalists, investors, young entrepreneurs and distinguished international businessmen from all around the world together. And handles the matters in the hand of global business world, offers concrete solutions and builds trade and investment bridges through sectoral collaboration and interdependence between the participants.

The concurrent events, the 4th Palestinian Business Forum (PBF) Congress with the main theme of "Opportunities and Challenges" and the 30th COMCEC Summit with the main theme of "The Role of Public Private Partnerships for the Development of the Tourism Sector in OIC Member States", will enhance effectiveness of the events.

Organizing a fair for the 15 times is not an easy task to achieve but this year we are aiming for more and we say larger space for wider business opportunities. 15th MÜSİAD International Fair will be held in 100.000 sq.m indoor area and we target to bring together 7.000 businessmen from 102 countries, 200.000 local visitors and hundreds of exhibitors from all sectors. This is the main point where we need your support with.

With the support of Turkish Ministry of Economy, we organize "Sectoral Business Matching Sessions" and we not only host foreign businessmen in Istanbul, but also we organize "Anatolia Business Forums" in different cities of Turkey, where foreign businessmen could meet with the real power of growing Turkey and their potential partners.

"Traditional Handcrafts Exhibit" takes part within our events, where foreign businessmen can also meet with Turkish culture while they are doing business. As you are all invited already, I suggest you to take a tour while artists perform their crafts. Believe me it is worth to see.

MUMAC, MUTEX, MUSCON and MUFOPACK have been our major sectoral discriminations for years where our exhibitors take their places in the specific hall, related the area of their business interest. And at our last two fairs, we were keeping space for new technologies, where project owners have a chance to introduce their projects to investors.

Under the coordination of Ministry of Economy of Turkey, Turkish Exporters' Assembly has started to work on a long term project to achieve and sustain development initiative based on export.  2023 Turkey Export Strategy and Action Plan has become a common vision with common sense. Turkey is aiming to increase its export level to 500 billion dollars and became one of the ten biggest economies of the world by the year of 2023. MÜSİAD took this as a mission to contribute this vision.

This year a hall in CNR Expo Center will be reserved only for Turkish High Technology producers like METEKSAN, TAI ATAK, MKEK, ROKETSAN, TURKCELL and AVEA. Our visitors will be able to see closely unmanned aerial vehicle, rocket systems, Turkey's first jet motor and so on. We are putting our signature under another practice that will take our country one step closer to the 2023 goals, by bringing together high technology producers with ministers and high officials, foreign businessmen and investors. We also organize a CEO Forum under this project.

Each year we work closer with a country which we call our partner country for the year. This year our partner country is Pakistan and we will welcome a big business delegation from Pakistan headed by highest level of official.
