On behalf of 150 Turkish American organizations nationwide, the Turkish American National Steering Committee (TASC) condemns the terror attacks in Paris that have claimed the lives of at least 127 innocent people and injured hundreds more. We express our deepest sympathies to those who lost loved ones and speedy recovery to the wounded.
The Turkish American community expresses solidarity with the People of France and the universal principles for which all the humanity stands. Turkish Americans, having experienced the terror of the PKK, ASALA, DAESH/ISIS and others in their motherland Turkey and homeland America, call upon the French people to reply to terror by continuing in their strong culture of liberty. Only then shall we collectively triumph over the evil of terror.
The Paris attacks followed yesterdays killings of 40 people in Beirut, in a series of attacks against civilian targets including the massacres of over 102 in Ankara Turkey by DAESH/ISIS on October 10.These terrorists are not adhering to any religion, no matter how they may seek to deceitfully justify their actions.
